The Jezioro Dominickie lake is of importance for many birds. This 384 hectare reservoir is connected by a system of canals with other nearby lakes. Geese (with a predominance of grågås), sothöna and various species of ducks (including sjöorre and svärta), as well as smålom and storlom, skäggdopping, svarthalsad dopping, svarthakedopping and salskrake winter in great numbers. Of the birds of prey, it is not uncommon to see havsörn, sometimes Pilgrimsfalk.

Observations are best made from the southern side of the lake (also due to sunlight). An unpaved pedestrian and bicycle path runs along the lake shore.
