Vadsøya is an island in the city of Vadsø. The east side of the island is a nature park with a pond. The pond is a good place to see smalnäbbad simsnäppa. Other birds you can see along the shores and on sea are ejder, alförrädare, praktejder, alfågel, småskrake, storskrake, skärsnäppa, myrspov, vittrut, Vitvingad trut, rödstrupig piplärka, and kärrsnäppa.
