Along the river Worm you will find the strömstare, forsärla and kungsfiskare and in the old dead trees you have a chance of the mindre hackspett. There is a chance of wading birds in the migratory period on several stretches of the river. Birds such as the drillsnäppa and skogssnäppa. Different duck species can be seen all year round on the ponds and large puddles next to or in the river Worm. In the open areas where Scottish Highlanders graze you can hear and see birds such as the domherre , steglits and grönsiska.

Nederlands: Het riviertje de Worm meandert prachtig door bos op de grens van Nederland en Duitsland. Hier vind je langs het water de strömstare, kungsfiskare en forsärla en in de oude dode bomen heb je kans op de mindre hackspett. Op verschillende stukken is er een kans op waadvogels in de trekperiode, zoals de drillsnäppa en skogssnäppa. Verschillende eendensoorten laten zich het hele jaar door goed zien op de vijvers en grote plassen naast of in de Worm. Op de open stukken waar Schotse Hooglanders grazen kun je vogels horen en zien zoals de domherre , steglits en grönsiska.

The area lies on the border of Germany and the Netherlands and is best explored on foot. A circular walk of 4 km is indicated on the map. Parking is possible on both the German and the Dutch side. Click on a P in the map for directions to the car park of your choice.
