Tillgänglighet

Kirindy Forest is located about 60 kilometers north of Morondava and can be reached by a scenic drive, which often includes passing through the iconic "Baobab Alley". Guided walks are essential for spotting elusive birds and learning about the forest's unique ecosystem. Once at Kirindy, you can stay overnight in basic eco-lodges or bungalows in or near the reserve.

Kirindy is a good place to see Madagascar’s dry forest birds. The birding is good throughout the year and many species can be seen at any time. However, October to April are the most productive bird-watching months as this is when birds are most vocal and active. To avoid the worst of the rains (December to March), visit in October, November or April.
