Nea Agathoupoli is a wonderful site, with great numbers of a lot of interesting birds. One of those places where you feel that there is to much to see to handle.
From the observation tower you have a good view of the delta and the lagoons with sometimes big amounts of dvärgrördrom, rördrom, rallhäger, natthäger, purpurhäger, bronsibis and a lot of ducks and vitögd dykand. In the surrounding area sommargylling, rödhuvad törnskata and sandtärna can be seen.

The observation tower is only open some days and parts of the day, Wednesday – Friday: 10:00- 14:00 + 2 Saturdays/month. But standing on the hill behind the tower works fine.
