This hike Stadtallendorf - Wasserscheide runs along the edge of the big forest of Herrenwald and also into the forest. You can see a variety of birds, especially woodpeckers. For example röd glada, korp, ormvråk, Nötväcka, rödstjärt, spillkråka, större hackspett, mellanspett and Gröngöling.

The area is located northwest of the village of Stadtallendorf. You can park next to the road, click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can make a nice hike and explore the area on foot. The circular walk (indicated on the map) is about 5 km.
