The woodland on Asperberg is home to several types of forest. From beech forest to coniferous forest to mixed forest. As a result, many forest bird species can be found there. But the high density of woodpeckers is characteristic. Five woodpecker species (spillkråka, större hackspett, mellanspett, mindre hackspett and Gröngöling) can be found in the area.
