Nature reserve at the mouth of the Radolfzeller Aach River, where it flows into Lake Constance. The extensive reed beds and the lake attract many birds.
The Radolfzeller Aachried is is a protected area that covers approximately 276 hectares and is known for its rich biodiversity. The reserve is situated at the mouth of the Radolfzeller Aach River, where it flows into Lake Constance (Bodensee). Along the shore runs a wide belt of dense reed beds, in which there are two ponds. To the left and right of the Aach, this reed bed penetrates to the road into the hinterland.
The Radolfzeller Aachried is located between Böhringen, Moos and Radolfzell in the region of Baden-Württemberg. If you arrive by public transport it is best to go to the railway station Böhringen-Rickelshausen (marked with 1 on the map) and walk or cycle from there. If you arrive by car you can park in the town of Moos or at the small parking on the north end of the area. You can also use the Park and Ride parking lot located near the railway station Böhringen-Rickelshausen.
The best way to explore the area is by bike. But exploring on foot is also possible. The circular route indicated on the map is about 6 km. Most of the route you can walk/cycle over a cycle path.
