The Mittlere Horloffaue is an important marsh and wetland area. Various breeding, migratory, resting and winter birds are regularly present in the Mittlere Horloffaue. As breeding birds you can find here vit stork, tofsvipa, blåhake and kornsparv. On migration you can see Trana and different spieces of waterbird. As winter guests you can see bläsgås and tajgasädgås.
