Beskrivning
Jröne Meerke (little green sea) is a small park with a pond at the north-western edge of the city of Neuss. It contains the only Western European colony of snögås. Depending on the season there are also numerous other waterfowl, such as vigg, gräsand, snatterand, Smådopping, Storskarv, rörhöna or sothöna. There are many trees and a small forest in the park that host numerous songbirds, including taltrast, dubbeltrast, Nötväcka, bofink, steglits, grönfink, rödhake, blåmes, talgoxe and many more. If you want to see the snögås, you should come in the early morning or before sunset as the geese often go out to the surrounding fields for feeding.
