Beskrivning
The Horbachpark was created as part of the state garden show of 1988. The little Horbach stream flows through the park and into a lake. There are many paths and benches throughout the park. The lake and the surrounding grass and reed fringes are home to knölsvan, gräsand, sothöna and rörhöna. Around the edges of the park and beyond, there is an attractive mix of gardens and allotments. These host a good variety of Tits, Finches and Woodpeckers, including entita, stjärtmes, stenknäck, grönsiska and Gröngöling.
In the woods adjacent to the park, it is possible to observe svartmes, tofsmes and kungsfågel. Raptors like ormvråk, röd glada and duvhök can often be seen soaring over the woods and slopes above the town. If you're in Ettlingen the park is well worth a visit. It's also a great place to combine family time at the playground with a bit of birding.
