Beskrivning
The Groß Schauener Seenkette nature reserve, located around 50 kilometers south-east of Berlin, is a popular attraction for birders. Along a 2 km long trail and from a 12 meter high observation tower you can see birds like Trana, different kinds of ducks and geese, Storskarv, blåhake, sydnäktergal, sävsångare, trastsångare, brun kärrhök, röd glada, Brun glada as well as Fiskgjuse and havsörn. With a bit of luck you can hear rördrom call in spring. The extensive water network is also an ideal habitat for the otter. If you arrive early in the morning, you might spot one hunting for fish.
