In the beginning of Ehemalige Rieselfelder Werne you pass a tiny forest, where you can find gärdsmyg, större hackspett and Gröngöling and some other forest species. In the winter you can see ägretthäger, bläsgås and sometimes even a tundrasädgås. The biggest part of the area are fields that sometimes hold water. These fields are fenced, wich is good for buskskvätta and svarthakad buskskvätta. In the fields you can see ängspiplärka and gulärla you can watch even in the summer.

How good the area is for birding depends on how much water there is. If there is much water, it is good, if there is no water, you nearly see nothing. In 2016 Silkeshäger and in 2015 a Gulärla ssp flavissima was recorded.
