Beskrivning
If you want to enjoy city life in a central park while spotting a few birds, this is the place to be. The whole area consists of a few interconnected parks, several ponds and a river, and connects right to the "Leipziger Auwald" (alluvial forest). This birdingplace focuses on the Clara-Zetkin-Park and Johannapark (with a suggested 2.4 km circular route), but the route can be extended easily. Note that this park is used by a lot of people for recreation. Particularly during summer and later in the day, it can be quite crowded.
Among the bird species you can expect here are mandarinand, Nötväcka, brandkronad kungsfågel, taltrast, kungsfiskare and Gröngöling.
