At Bärenbrücker Teiche you can see especially in winter many ducks like Skedand, bläsand, gräsand, stjärtand, Kricka, rödhuvad dykand, vitögd dykand, vigg and bergand. And you can also find several species of geese like grågås, bläsgås, tundrasädgås and at the narrow fields you can see tundrasädgås, rödhalsad gås and vitkindad gås. In winter you can also find some sångsvan, mindre sångsvan and all year around many knölsvan.
In spring and autumn many limicoles visit Bärenbrücker Teiche. Waders such as skärfläcka, kustpipare, tofsvipa, större strandpipare, mindre strandpipare, myrspov, kustsnäppa, brushane, spovsnäppa, mosnäppa, kärrsnäppa, småsnäppa and enkelbeckasin.

Bärenbrücker Teiche is located 15 km northeast of the city of Cottbus and immediately north of the village of Bärenbrück. From Dorfstraße you can drive with car or bike to a little road between Unterteich and Streckteich. At the middle of the little road is a little spot were you can parc your car. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking spot. From there another little path leads to the Unterteich where most birds can be observed.
