During the bird migration season at Ausgleichsfläche Dellmensingen you can observe waders such as skogssnäppa, brushane, grönbena, större strandpipare and tofsvipa. In summer mindre strandpipare breeds regularly in the area. Visiting from the adjacent river Danube and the Danube Canal are birds such as skrattmås , rostand and sothöna. The best observation opportunities are from the dam. The area is flooded regularly (March & July)

Ausgleichsfläche Dellmensingen is located 1 km north of the town of Dellmensingen. The area is easily accessible from the Danube cycle path. By car and public transport to Dellmensingen. There is no parking space. The area is fenced.
