Observatoire de la Presqu'île Champaubert is located on the Lac du Der-Chantecoq. The observatory overlooks one end of the lake, and a small reed bed on the right. From the church, there is a magnificent panorama where many birds come, especially during migrations.

You can access by the dyke, from the port of Giffaumont on foot or by bike, and by car, you park in the parking lot of the campsite. Click on the P in the map for directions.

Spotting scope necessary
Scope is needed , but watch also closeby between te rocks on the banks of the lake. I had kungsfiskare, drillsnäppa, gärdsmyg and svart rödstjärt only a few feet away.
