Marais du Douhet is particularly interesting because it brings together a great diversity of species, sometimes in high density and at all times of the year.
Among the nesting birds are the rödbena, the styltlöpare, the cettisångare, the grässångare, the tornfalk or the gravand. During migration, the brednäbbad simsnäppa or the svart rödstjärt are passing through. In winter, prutgås, ljungpipare and tofsvipa are stationed on the site.
All year round shorebirds, ducks, gulls, herons, grebes and many others are present.
