Lac des prés Saint-Jean is a lake which in spring shelters a colony of herons with Kohäger, Silkeshäger and natthäger. At the end of August until the middle of September an important dormitory of Kohäger is on the island of the lake. At the level of the largest buildings close to the lake, there is a colony of alpseglare, tornseglare and hussvala. During cold winters the lake is visited by many gulls as well as loons and grebes.

Français: Lac des prés Saint-Jean à Chalon-sur-Saône. Plan d'eau qui au printemps abrite une colonie de hérons avec du Kohäger , l' Silkeshäger, le natthäger. Fin août jusqu'à la mi septembre un dortoir important de Kohäger se trouve sur l'île du plan d'eau. Au niveau des plus grands immeubles proches du plan d'eau, on retrouve une colonie de alpseglare , tornseglareet hussvala. Au cours des hivers froids on retrouve tout un panel de laridés ainsi que les plongeons et les grèbes.
