Thanks to its low water level, Bassin de Décantation de Cadarache developed aquatic vegetation and a beautiful reed bed. Therefore the Cadarache basin welcomes a great diversity of ducks in exceptional numbers. Among these species are brunand (often several thousand individuals), vigg, storskrake, Skedand, vitögd dykand, bläsand, snatterand, Kricka and sothöna. The ideal time to observe the wintering birds is between December and February.

Grâce à son niveau d'eau peu élevé, à sa végétation aquatique développée et à la présence d'une belle roselière, le basssin de Cadarache accueille une grande diversité de canards dans des effectifs exeptionnel. Parmis ces espèce on peut compter le brunand (souvent plusieurs milliers d'individus), le vigg , le storskrake , le Skedand , le vitögd dykand , le bläsand , le snatterand , la Kricka , la sothöna. Access to the site is closed to the public but it is possible to park at its southern end and to make observations from the edge without entering the site.
