Beskrivning
There have been recorded more than 250 birds species. It is a nesting site of the in Silesia rare skäggmes and there are nesting some other rare birds like dvärgrördrom , blåhake and rosenfink. It is also a popular bird stop during migration time. In Spring you can see there for example stenskvätta , vassångare , svarthuvad mås , Fiskgjuse and sometimes even vattensångare and kaveldunsångare.
During the Autumn migration you can see many species of waders like kärrsnäppa , brushane , småsnäppa , spovsnäppa , svartsnäppa , grönbena and some other. Also you can observe småfläckig sumphöna or vattenrall.
In Winter it is an ideal place for watching skäggmes and if you are lucky you can see wintering rördrom or vinterhämpling .
Various bird rarities were also recorded here: smalnäbbad simsnäppa , roskarl , tereksnäppa , rödspov , kustsnäppa , svarthuvad trut , Kentsk tärna , silvertärna , Rostgumpsvala , stäpphök , tärnmås , vattensångare , kaveldunsångare and many others.

The location is inaccessible by car, so it is best to park somewhere in Ostrava and walk to the location or go by bus. I recommend a walk along the western side of the pond. You can make a circle around, but if you want to see some reed birds, it is best to wait near the reeds or go on one of the fishing bridges (but be careful, it can be dangerous).
