The Kaloyanovo Reservoir, located 20 km north of the city of Plovdiv, is one of the best places in South Bulgaria for observing different waterbirds all year round. More than 215 species can be observed in the reservoir and its surroundings. Access with car or by foot. The area can be reached with car from the South, from road 64, with turn for Tsarimir village (asphalt and 1.5 km dirt road). Also from the North - from Kaloyanovo village (asphalt and 2 km dirt road).
