Very good mosaic of different habitats, providing suitable conditions for big variety of birds of different groups. Traditional and nature friendly agriculture practices allowed presence of birds as blåkråka, Härfågel, svartpannad törnskata, minervauggla and other. The cliffs on the slopes provide nesting sites to the klippnötväcka, svart stork, korp and other. On the stony and bushy slopes berghöna, medelhavsstenskvätta, olivsångare, rödstrupig sångare, sammetshätta and mästersångare can be seen. balkanhök keeps to the tree belts along the river, where lärkfalk can be observed, too. vit stork nests in the little hamlets in the area are nesting sites of the spansk sparv.
