Beskrivning
Even the industrial/urban area in the north of this region harbours quite some good species in winter, like bläsand, snatterand, vigg and brunand. They can be common near te sewage works, as do gulls Smådopping and grågås.
In recent years rördrom has become almost annual (often more then one) and some years skäggmes turns up. There's a big breeding population of rörsångare (>20 pairs) as do cettisångare and Sävsparv in small numbers. In some years even blåhake breeds here.
The meadow areas further to the south, especially those along the railway hold most of the time waders in late winter and spring. rödspov, grönbena, skogssnäppa, brushane, mindre strandpipare (breeds some years), kärrsnäppa, enkelbeckasin, dvärgbeckasin and others are seen annual. In winter this area often holds vattenpiplärka. In wet years species as årta and Skedand can be breeding here. Irregular breeders are Sävsparv, cettisångare and svarthakad buskskvätta.
The area more to the south can hold kungsfiskare, forsärla, svarthakad buskskvätta and the same species mentioned earlier, but chances on these are more remote.
