Beskrivning
Only 15 km from Innsbruck, the Inzinger Gaisau is one of the last floodplains in the Inn Valley. It has ponds, woodlands, agricultural fields, wet meadows, reedbeds and borders the shores of the river Inn. This makes Inzinger Gaisau rich in habitats and therefore rich in birds.
Birds you can see here are björktrast, lövsångare, storskrake, kungsfiskare, skogssnäppa, härmsångare svarthätta, mindre hackspett and both trädkrypare and trädgårdsträdkrypare and many species of tits. In winter sometimes you can encounter large flocks of steglits, grönsiska, and in late winter bergfink.
On the northern waters edge you have a good view on meadows and reedbeds. You can find buskskvätta here and with some luck Brun glada. On the pond you can see Smådopping and different kinds of ducks. Around the reedbeds check for vattenrall, Sävsparv, rörsångare, trastsångare and sävsångare.
