Beskrivning
Newey Reservoir has been rehabilitated over the past 30 years, which has greatly helped in increasing the local birdlife. The reservoir is now an oasis sourrounded by dry open woodland.
There is a 2 km walking trail around the reservoir through the woodland, but the open woodland nearby is also productive and can be accessed by various trails. If you want to see Plum-headed Finch then be at the barbeque area near the parking about 30 minutes or so before dusk and they fly into the reed beed there in large numbers.
