Beskrivning
The Koonalda homestead area, located in the vast remote Nullabor National Park, has become a 'go-to' site for Naretha Bluebonnet. Other highly sought after possibles that are recorded in the area are Slender-billed Thornbill, Ground Cuckooshrike, Rufous Fieldwren and Nullarbor Quail-thrush. Best chances for Naretha Bluebonnet: commence along the Koonalda access track about 6 kms before the homestead.
North of the homestead and into the park is a range of caverns and sinkholes that have been the subject of interest for many cavers and explorers looking for sights that cannot be found above ground. These cave systems are known around the world for being some of the most extensive discovered. In particular, Koonalda Cave lies only 7 km beyond the homestead.
