Beskrivning
Gluepot Reserve is part of the largest block of intact mallee left in Australia. Six nationally threatened bird species can be found here.
Sought after birds include Black-eared Miner, Red-lored Whistler, Scarlet-chested Parrot, Striated Grasswren, Malleefowl, Chestnut Quail-thrush and White-browed Treecreeper
Extensive information about this important site is available on the link below at the 'visit us' page. Maps and detailed instructions regarding personal safety requirements (note that this is a remote site; becoming lost is a danger), camping options (campers need to be fully self-contained) and information on the numerous tracks and walks are provided.
Also refer to the Tim Dolby link for detailed descriptions of a number of birding opportunities.
The Reserve has five very well designed hides (see map) overlooking bird waterers - these provide excellent photography opportunities. The hides each contain an impressive list of birds that have been observed at site.
