Beskrivning
Tasmania's Eaglehawk Neck Pelagic is Australia's premier pelagic trip, with more than 2300 eBird checklists, boasting a long list of birds regularly seen and frequently lists uncommon visitors as well.
Trips depart from Pirates Bay, Eaglehawk Neck and typically will proceed to circle two rocky islands, the Hippolytes, located about 10 km to the south east and then proceed eastwards till reaching the continental shelf dropoff, when chumming for seabirds commences.
Birds likely to be encountered include White-bellied Sea-Eagle, Kelp Gull, Shy Albatross, Indian Yellow-nosed Albatross, Black-browed Albatross, Southern Royal Albatross, Wandering Albatross, Short-tailed Shearwater, Wilson's Storm Petrel, Grey-backed Storm-Petrel, White-faced Storm Petrel , Northern Giant-Petrel, and many others - check out some of the eBird lists; link below.
