As England's largest valley fen and at the head of the Waveney and Little Ouse catchments Redgrave and Lopham fen is worth a visit in all seasons
In Winter, hunting Eja močvarica over the reeds is a common sight, along with waterfowl on the pools, Kukuvija hunting over the grassy areas, some increasingly spectacular murmaerations of Čvorak and with the chance of Brkata senica. Year round there are a number of way marked trails to follow through the reserve. Summer brings Lastavičar and Svilorepi cvrčić which can occasionally be heard over winter now too. Woodland birds are found in the wooded area to the south of the reserve.
