Description

Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Vodomar nest sites on the island. The area also has a Bregunica colony. Poljska ševa, Riđa lunja, Ćubasti gnjurac, Ćubasta patka. Occasional rarity, eg Mala morska crnka in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Crnoglava travarka, Obična beloguza, Leganj, Mišar, Gavran, Livadska trepteljka, Obična kukavica, Vodenkos or Potočna pliska.

Access

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
