The "Duck Pond" is a brackish pool which was once a model boating pond. It is connected to the sea via a sluice gate and a channel.

Description

Par Beach Pool is situated right next to the beach and coast, making it ideal for wildfowl and other bird species, especially in winter. The-south facing beach is backed by low sand dunes through which there are many paths as well as a small lake.

Access

As the name suggests, Par Sands is a wide, sandy beach in Par, just outside St Austell. Signed off the A3082 between Fowey and Par (OS grid ref - SX 0837 5304). Click on the P in the map to get directions.
