Broad sheltered bay 4 miles SSW of Montrose with sand beach, dunes, low cliffs and seawatch promontory at Boddin Point.
Lunan Bay has the best birding in autumn and winter when seabirds seek shelter here while auks, shearwaters, Obična bluna, Burnjak and skuas fly past the point. Winter visitors may include Ledenjarka, Baršunasti turpan, Crni turpan, Srednji ronac, Gavka, Riđovrati gnjurac, Ušati gnjurac, Obični zovoj and Čađavi zovoj. Rarities such as Lastorepi galeb, Bonapartin galeb and Poljski vrabac.
