Description

Honey Hill (not to be confused with Honey Hill in Cambridge and Kent) is said by locals to have the best views in Northamptonshire. Beside the roadside layby (3 cars only) is the entrance to the site, head uphill along the long distance Jurassic Way (sometimes muddy following prolonged rain). On the grassy hill during Spring Obična grmuša, Obični zviždak, Crnoglava grmuša , Brezov zviždak and Siva grmuša are possible moving from shrub to shrub. Mišar, Kobac, Riđa lunja and Vetruška are often seen flying overhead. Zelena žuna are often seen feeding on areas of short grass, also during Spring Kos ogrličar, Obična beloguza, Bela pliska ssp yarrellii very often accompanied by Bela pliska. For those with limited time the walk is out and back, but for those with more time you can continue (press STARS on map) on the Jurassic Way in a big loop back to the start.
