Two Limestone hills. Little Doward has an ancient hillfort, Great Doward 5 nature reserves and prehistoric caves.
Doward Hills are mostly woodland with some heath, wildflower meadows, quarries, rocky outcrops, views over the Wye. Sivi soko, Kobac, Jastreb, Šumska sova, Kratkokljuni puzić, Brgljez, Čižak, Mala brezova juričica, Severna zeba, Šumski zviždak, Srednji detlić, Batokljun, roe deer, fallow deer, adders and slow worm can all be seen
By car, leave the A40 Monmouth-Ross road at Whitchurch or Ganarew. Click on a P in the map for directions. Bus 34 stops at either village. No train stations nearby.
