Description

Colaton Raleigh Common is part of the East Devon Pebblebed Heath, the public have full and free access to all the Pebblebed Heath by foot, under The Countryside and Rights Of Way Act (see WARNING in extra info below). Some resident birds are Dugorepa grmuša, Kobac, Crnoglava travarka. During Summer expect to find Obična kukavica, Šumska trepteljka​​​​​, Leganj and possibly Obična crvenrepka and Cvrčić tršćar.

Access

Leave Exeter (M5 Motorway Junction 30) towards Clyst St Mary on A376, at next roundabout take third exit (still A376) to Clyst St George. At next roundabout take first exit onto B3179 to Woodbury village, continue on B3179 until next crossroads (Four Firs) and turn Left onto B3180 signed Ottery St Mary/Golf Course. Continue on B3180 passing Woodbury Castle car parks that eventually brings you to Warren Car Park (20 spaces).

BE WARNED, DANGER. Colaton Raleigh Common is used by Royal Marines Training Centre Lympstone, as a training area, during weekdays between 1000hrs - 1500hrs LIVE GRENADE TRAINING MAY TAKE PLACE, look for RED FLAGS and WARNING SIGNS (see STARS ON MAP). The grenade training area is fenced and is off limits at all times. NOTE IF NO RED FLAGS FLYING YOU HAVE FREE ACCESS.
