Lake in Central Anatolia where you can see a lots of migratory birds in spring. The habitat quality depleated, however, this area still is an IBA.
At Lake Kulu Plamenac, Lisasta guska, Mali plamenac, Sabljarka, Tankokljuni galeb and many other bird species can be seen. It is easy to reach the lake by car. Kulu is the closest settlement near the lake. There is a birding tower and hills where you can get good view to do birdwatching. During the spring time, there are many migrant birds which make this area attractive for birding. Also, it is close to Ankara city center which enables you to get many accommodation options if you want to plan a birding expedition.
Lake Kulu is located 100 km south of Ankara. You can reach Lake Kulu by car or on bicycle. Easiest way is to get there by car. The best way to explore the area is driving a car. However, you can bike there too if you have a bike with you. The circular route indicated on the map is about 27 km.
