On the gravel banks along the Reuss there are Polojka, Vodenkos and Potočna pliska. The following species can be observed in the pastures and meadows: planinska trepteljka, Šumska trepteljka, Obična beloguza, Zmijar, Osičar, Obična travarka, Belolika patka pištalica, Rusi svračak.

The floodplain area is located between the villages of Hospental and Realp. You can explore the area on foot. A circular walk around the area is about 3 km.
