Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example Šljuka kamenjarka, Mala sprutka, Bela sprutka, Velika sprutka, Sprudnik ubojica, Pljosnokljuna sprutka, Seda sprutka, Laponska muljača and Srebrni vivak. Also several pairs of Mala čigra are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Morski žalar, Tibetan Sand Plover, Tankokljuni sprudnik, Mali žutonogi sprudnik and Crnogruda sprutka.
In winter time islandic Crvenonogi sprudnik and northern Žalar blatarić and sometimes Morska sprutka can be seen.
