Description
Sjötorpasjön is a good place to see wetland birds during much of the year. The surroundings (deciduous forests and farmland) are also interesting. Among the breeders are Ćubasti gnjurac, Labud grbac, Eja močvarica and in some years Vodeni bik,Riđovrati gnjurac and Brkata senica. Other breeders in the neighbourhood are Riđa lunja , Mali detlić, Dugorepa senica and Žuti voljić. During migration periods large flocks of Divlja guska , Kanadska guska , Gluvara and Krdža stay at the lake, often including the odd duck or goose species.
From the birding tower you may see several raptors, especially Mišar, Gaćasti mišar, Riđa lunja, Crna lunja, Ribar and Belorepan.
