The northernmost part of lake Funäsdalssjön has shrubs and reeds along the beach that attract birds. Out on open water, various ducks rest. The area has a bird observation tower. Among the birds you can see in the Risnäset - Funäsdalen area are Baršunasti turpan, Patka dupljašica, Veliki labud, Polojka, Crvenonogi sprudnik, Modrovoljka, Obična beloguza and Zimovka.
