You can hear the calls of the Ždral, Veliki labud and Guska ljigarica echoing over the lake and see waders like Sprudnik migavac, Barska šljuka, Mala šljuka, Velika carska šljuka and Krivokljuni sprudnik. Almost all of the country's duck birds can be seen in the area. For example Mali ronac, but also birds like Riđovrati gnjurac. And large flocks of Crvenovrata liskonoga rest in the lake on their way to the mountain marshes in the spring.
