Description

For the one without a car Båstad hamn is one of few options, located in the harbour its easy to reach. It should be said that it is also second best compared to more remote sites such as Kattvik and Hovs hallar. The majority of the birds doesnt enter the Laholms bay and therefore not seen from Båstad harbour.

In days of storm (preferably since a couple of days) and the wind comes from NW Båstad hamn can be an exiting place to be; Burnjak , Veliki pomornik Obična bluna , and especially Lastorepa burnica. Sometimes more rare species show up such as Čađavi zovoj , Burnica , Vitorepi pomornik and Obični zovoj . Also Tankokljuna njorka , Oštrokljuna njorka and sometimes Mala njorka can be seen.

Under the right circumstances the birds can "get caught" in the bay and circle around it several times. By nature it is very windy when visiting the harbour, depending on the direction of the wind the (for the season closed) beach club gives some shelter, otherwise standing behind the wall on the west pier works.
