Description

The downside of a walk to Little Adam's Peak is that it is very touristy and busy. Almost every tourist that visits the town of Ella, walks to the viewpoint of Little Adam's Peak. Not surprising because of the beautiful view. But the path to the viewpoint is often crowded (and packed with tourist stalls). So, unless you do the walk early in the morning before the crowds arrive, you won't see that many birds. Still, the walk is worth it, because of the view and because you have a good chance to see Black Eagle. When you arrive on the viewpoint, scan the treetops in the valley below. The Black Eagle can often be seen soaring just above the treetops.

Access

Little Adam's Peak is located east of the village of Ella. If you walk from the center of Ella to the viewpoint it is a about a 3 km walk (one way). The last part of the climb is steep (but not difficult and okay to do if you take your time). In the many stalls along the path you can buy water or coconuts with a straw.
