Monte Dunas de San Antón is a forested dune area with easy access. The sandy soil is easily walkable due to the softness of the pine needles. With open areas and bushy vegetation that is not dense this place is ideal for beginners in learning to observe and identify birds, especially forest birds. Among the species that you can observe are Golub grivnaš, Iberijski zviždak, Sredozemna crnoglava grmuša, Vatroglavi kraljić, Dugokljuni puzić, Zelentarka, Zelena žuna, Šumska sova and Krstokljun.

Espagnol: Pinar de piño piñonero repoblado para frenar avance de las dunas costeras. Espacio periurbano de fácil acceso y transitable, Suelo arenoso aunque fácilmente transitable por el mullido de las acículas de pino. Con zonas abiertas y vegetación arbustiva nada densa. Ideal para el inicio en el aprendizaje de observación e identificación de aves, sobre todo forestales. Entre las especies que se dan cita las paloma torcaz, curruca cabecinegra, agateador europeo, verderon común, pito ibérico destaca el piquituerto común por tener una población residual aunque estable.
Monte Dunas de San Antón is located immediately south of El Puerto de Santa Maria. The area can be reached on foot or by vehicle. There are multiple accesses with the possibility of parking the vehicle on adjacent streets or roads. Click on a P in the map for directions. The best way to explore the area is on foot. De circular route indicated on the map is about 6 km.
