Description
Laguna de Medina is a very large inland pond which is bordered by large reed beds. It is an important site for the reproduction of Krunasta liska and Beloglava patka. This site is also a first-rate place as a migratory and wintering stopover for thousands of ducks. The Laguna de Medina is also surrounded by Mediterranean maquis favorable to species such as Zapadni sivi voljić.
Note that the last years have been very dry and the lagoon is sometimes completely dry. Check the comments below for the latest situation.
