Description

Charco de San Ginés is a small bay in the middle of the city of Arrecife where the ebb and flow of the tides creates a mudflat where many wading and shore birds of Lanzarote can be found. Despite being a busy tourist area, there are still an incredible number of birds to see. Birds you can observe include Mala bela čaplja, Morski galeb, Mala carska šljuka, Žalar blatarić, Morski žalar, Šljuka kamenjarka and Bela sprutka.

Access

Charco de San Ginés is located in the center of Arrecife. The place is easily accessible. Around the water are terraces where you can have a drink and you can park everywhere. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. This place is also easily accessible by public transport. There is a bus stop on Avenida Olof Palme.
