The Almadenes canyon is a natural area located in the upper course of the Segura river, between Cieza and Calasparra. It has vertical walls of more than 100 m.
Cañón de Almadenes is an important place for bats and birds associated with the river. Among the birds you can encounter are Čapljica, Siva čaplja, Vodomar, Obična kukavica, Potočna pliska, Modrokos and Vuga. On the rocky escarpments you can find raptors such as Prugasti orao, Zmijar, Patuljasti orao and Buljina.

Espagnol: El cañón de Almadenes es un Espacio Natural situado en el curso alto del río Segura, entre Cieza y Calasparra. Tiene paredes verticales de más de 100 m. Es un importante lugar de reproducción y refugio para los murciélagos y aves asociadas al río. Se encuentran martinetes, avetorillos, garzas reales, ánades azulones, martines pescadores, lavanderas boyeras, oropéndolas. También hay presencia en los escarpes rocosos de rapaces como el águila perdicera y búho real.
Take the exit from Cieza and travel about 16 km by car to the Sima de la Serreta Cave where you can park the car. A marked trail runs along the canyon.

Espagnol: Si emprendemos la salida desde Cieza se pueden recorrer unos 16 km en coche hasta la Cueva Sima de la Serreta donde se puede aparcar el coche , hasta llegar a la cueva está totalmente indicado con carteles en la carretera, y desde aquí hacer un recorrido por los caminos que discurren junto al cañón.
