Bay where you can observe Morski galeb and by the rocks Mala carska šljuka. In the desert area inland you can observe Afrička kamenjarka.
Bajo Negro is located near several biotopes. The first one is the sea. At sea here you will find Morski galeb and rarely Mrki galeb. If you are lucky, also Obična bluna or Golemi zovoj. Another setting is the beach. You can easily see Bela sprutka. If you continue further, you will reach the dunes. In the desert area inland the Afrička kamenjarka is found, Istočna mala ševa and Kanarska trepteljka.
The location is walkable. The advantage is that it is located right next to a hotel, where you can park, and where there are sometimes Kanarska travarka. Click on the P in the map for directions.
During a visit or two in November 2021 I saw Ćurlikovac, Južni veliki svračak, Zapadna grmuša in the desert area and on the beach Kašičar, Laponska muljača, Morski žalar, Srebrni vivak as well as other mentioned species. The north end of Corralejo is worth exploring too. Zeba trubačica quite common here.
Hello Dave, congratulations on a beautiful observation. I have seen some of the species you mentioned, such as Laponska muljača or Kašičar in Corralejo. But I didn't come across Ćurlikovac here at all. However, I was only here for 10 days in February 2022 and I know I didn't see a lot of species (like the Hubara that was reported here). Someone even saw a Obična bluna here. Thank you for your response. Michal.
