Description

Arroyo y El Robledal de la Aguilera is a little-known walk, but enormously rich in diversity of bird life. In a few kilometers, it is possible to go from observing the birds of the reservoir, such as Divlja guska, Velika bela čaplja and Ćubasti gnjurac, to birds typical of oak groves, such as Brgljez, Kratkokljuni puzić or Obična kukavica. On this walk, you will also cross meadow areas, where you can see Patuljasti orao, Crnoglava travarka or Livadska trepteljka, and rural spaces with birds such as Bela roda, Bregunica or Bela pliska. The constant presence of the Ebro river cannot be ignored, where birds such as Siva čaplja, Gluvara and Potočna pliska can be observed. The entire walk is accompanied by the presence of the Beloglavi sup who watches from the heights.

Access

Arroyo is the town where the Ebro is redirected from the reservoir. Access to the town of Arroyo is very simple and it is very easy to find a parking spot, since it is not a very busy town. The difficulty of the walk depends on the birdwatcher, since it is possible to take a simple tour only on flat asphalt, but you can also go into the forest using the paths or simply exploring through it. The oak forest is very easy to walk through if you have good mobility and the appropriate boots. The indicated circular walk on the map is about 9 km and partly off track.
